OPEN SPACES 2
NORTHFIELD
This is a large open Space, adjacent to the New Ash Green Sports facilities.  The Northfield Management Committee hope to provide facilities for  horse riding as well as plenty of room for informal games.
A wild meadow  area and community woods have also been planted
Hartley Woods
Hartley Woods are shown on the maps of several hundreds of years ago.  It is clear however that they have been coppiced and in some places replanted.
Today they are a favourite place for people walking their dogs.
There is a fine show of bluebells in the springtime.
The Eastern half owned by Southwark is now defined as a Village Green.
